MIXED MEDIA
Initiated in July 2023, Collaboration 8 is a series of eight mixed media works on paper. This endeavor brought eight artists together for a year long art-making engagement. Participating artists are Helen Hiebert, Robyn Love, Emily Pratt, Liz Borowski, Pearlyn Tan, Samyak Yamauchi, Jennifer Foran and Roberta Aylward. The mark-making began on eight sheets of handmade cotton paper by Helen Hiebert, each measuring 8 x 8 inches. Each artist left their mark on every piece, in random turns, and only once, until every piece contained marks by all eight artists. The result is a series of unique and unexpected works highlighting a variety of imagery and materials.
