Collaboration 8 is an experiment in creating art as a group. Initiated in July 2023, this project brought eight artists together for a year long art-making engagement. Participating artists are Helen Hiebert, Robyn Love, Emily Pratt, Liz Borowski, Pearlyn Tan, Samyak Yamauchi, Jennifer Foran and Roberta Aylward. The mark-making began on eight sheets of handmade cotton paper by Helen Hiebert, each measuring 8 x 8 inches. Each artist left their mark on every piece, in random turns, and only once, until every piece contained marks by all eight artists. The result is a series of unique and unexpected works highlighting a variety of imagery and materials.

Ongoing works on paper include painting, collage and printmaking. Baseline is a series of green and white paintings on paper utilizing torn sandpaper as a collage element. Additional series include collage with painted, hand-cut papers and monotypes. These works explore shape, movement and composition while informing my painting practice.
