Taking Shape, 2017-2018
This series of paintings and paper installations are unified by a curiosity of shapes and how they hold meaning. My process began with assigning paper-cut shapes to various feelings, dreams and experiences. A visual vocabulary emerged and the shaped were rearranged, creating an opportunity for new meanings to emerge. This series was exhibited at Red E Cafe Gallery in Portland in February, 2018.
